"When I first played Aaron Neville the riff for 'You Don't Get It' he thought it was too heavy for Fragile Creatures. The solution was to take a trip to France and enlist our friends Aaron & Tristan Mclenahan to help finish the song with a powerful, irresistible demo. While we were there we finished the arrangement and wrote the lyrics. We watched Bored To Death at the same time, a TV series featuring Jason Schwartzman, Zach Gilifianakis and an amazing turn from Ted Dansen as Schwartzman's stoner editor and father figure. The lyrics are addressed to someone who is the opposite of Dansen's character - Dansen's George is a huge success, stupidly rich and head of a powerful organisation but has lost none of his lust for fun and adventure. The song came out as a bit of a mission statement for us - "it's not success if you're living a life you'll regret" I'd rather be doing something I love than rich and miserable." - Adam Kidd
