"Aaron wrote most of this one, it's a love song about how meeting the woman he is now married to sorted him out. He populated the song with a tonne of musical metaphors, which is a theme I carried on when I helped him finish it off and added some lines, mostly in the bridge. He was falling in love and I was trying to get over a long-term relationship which had broken down. It's one of the main reasons the EP is called Heart Beat - all these different takes on love. Heartstrings being about falling in love, Falling about falling out of love, Can You about the love of consumption, and Little Man about love for the planet, but all nuanced - capable of going either way."
